What size dance floor do you need for your event?

Dance floor sizing varies depending on the type of event and the type of dancing being done. We have found that the formula displayed below works very well for estimating the best dance floor size for most weddings and special events based on the total number of guests attending the event. Between 3-4 sq ft per couple is generally correct but factors like average age of the attendees, type of event, type of music being played will effect the recommended size. If you are unsure what dance floor size is best for your event please call our office and one our sales representatives can give a recommendation.

(Number of Guests/2) * (3.5 sq ft) = Surface area required

Up to 80  Guests = 12×12

80 – 110 Guests = 12×16

110 – 145 Guests = 16×16

145 – 180 Guests = 16×20

180 – 225 Guests = 20×20

225 – 275 Guests = 20×24
